My treasure
"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" Matthew 6:21 I find my heart surrounded by warm hands with steam rising up, encircling fine lines and wrinkles of the face across from mine. “What’s your order?” I ask the simple question that softens the air, making room for stories to be exchanged and memories to begin. The question that connects the businessman and the student, the pastor and the manager. I love the acquired taste of bitterness in the dark


Blue sky (04.14.2024)
The sky is blue, The pond moves in response to the touch of the wind, Creating ripples and waves above the surface Across from me, past the plants that are still beige from the winter snow, A crane stands pretty. A heavy day
The rain didn’t stop today, and the skies are more gray than their usual blue. It lacks depth, there’s no dimension up there today And the rain falls slowly From the gray. Lush, pine green trees stand beautifully underneath, with brown trunks supporting the foliage. A seagull passes through my vision, rather quickly.
